On January 25, in an interview with Public TV Company, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed various topics, including his recent social media activity, government transparency, the situation with Armenian prisoners in Baku, army reforms, and the demarcation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.

Pashinyan stated that there were no plans for snap elections, emphasizing that ongoing discussions about such elections were not new. He also explained his increased presence on social media, noting that it was part of his effort to maintain transparency and stay connected with citizens. "Any neutral observer should have noticed that not only have I never avoided communicating with citizens, but on the contrary, I have sought out opportunities for such interactions," Pashinyan remarked.

Regarding national security, Pashinyan discussed the government’s strategy for avoiding regional escalations, stating that Armenia was taking steps to prevent provocations. He attributed the calmest year in the last 15–20 years (2024) to this strategy.

Pashinyan also addressed concerns about Armenian prisoners in Baku, revealing intelligence that prohibited psychotropic substances were being used to extract statements from them, which could escalate tensions.

On the topic of army reforms, Pashinyan emphasized the importance of focusing on territorial integrity rather than historical narratives. He stated: "I am reforming the army because Aragats is my internationally recognized territory, and I have the right to a combat-ready army."

Regarding the demarcation of borders, Pashinyan reiterated that the internationally recognized borders should be respected. He clarified that any potential territorial exchanges would require a referendum, ensuring that the people would decide on such matters.
