On October 3, Arman Musinyan, the press secretary of Levon Ter-Petrosyan, said that Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the first President of Armenia, no longer sees the need to create a platform for dialogue between the authorities and the opposition in the republic. 

Earlier, on the same day, the Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Time) newspaper wrote that Azerbaijan made five main demands on Armenia during the negotiations. The Yerevan publication, whose editor-in-chief is Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, mentioned the following requirements: the dissolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army; recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan without any autonomy (with zero status); providing Azerbaijan with a corridor to Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia; launching the process of delimitation and demarcation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border according to the maps of 1919-1920; and clarification of the fate of Azerbaijanis who went missing during the Karabakh war of 1991-1994. 

The publication responded to Ter-Petrosyan's statement about the need for a dialogue between the opposition and the authorities to obtain complete information about the negotiation process with Baku since only the current head of the Armenian government owns this information. From the point of view of the ex-president, the publication in Pashinyan's "personal/family media" is a negative response to the proposal for a dialogue with the opposition. The ex-president appreciates this publication for revealing Azerbaijan's demands in the framework of the expected settlement of relations with Armenia. "This is nothing more than the Azerbaijani draft of a peace treaty, the details of which were still owned by the prime minister and a narrow circle of the highest echelon of power," Musinyan cited the position of the first President of the republic. 

According to Ter-Petrosyan, Armenia has prepared its draft agreement, but its details are not disclosed. The ex-president does not doubt that the parties are also developing their drafts of future agreements on the platform for the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. He believes there are no big surprises in this case. According to Ter-Petrosyan, the future Armenian-Turkish agreement on the settlement of relations will not differ much from the Zurich protocols signed in 2009 by the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Turkey - Edward Nalbandyan and Ahmet Davutoglu. 

"It must be stated that there is a need for a platform between the opposition and the authorities, initiated earlier by the Catholicos of All Armenians, Garegin II. However, this does not detract from the persistent efforts of the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which have already yielded results in the form of the mentioned publication," the former head of state added.
