Nikol Pashinyan Comments on Improvement Along Border with Azerbaijan

At a meeting of the Armenian government on April 6, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the situation in the border area in the direction of the villages of Tekh and Kornidzor in the Syunik region of the republic has partially improved.
According to Pashinyan, on the common 12-kilometer section of the border, it was possible to verify and clarify the points of deployment of military personnel along the 7-kilometer line; negotiations on the 5-kilometer section are ongoing. "The Armenian side strove and still strives to avoid escalation," the Prime Minister noted, hoping that the work on reconciling the deployment points will take place in a constructive atmosphere.
According to the head of government, solid nerves and restraint are needed in the current unstable global situation to prevent the forces trying to blow up the region from carrying out their plans. "Despite all the difficulties, the Armenian government reaffirms its commitment to the peace agenda," Pashinyan stressed.
