Armenia and Greece Approve Military Cooperation Plan for 2023
Armenia and Greece approved a military cooperation plan for 2023. It is noted that Levon Ayvazyan, the head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, and Vasilios Tsami, the Director of the International Relations Department of the General Staff of the Greek Armed Forces, signed the document.
The cooperation plan provides for twenty-one joint events, of which 15 are planned to be held on the territory of the southern European member of NATO, 6 - in Armenia. The program includes joint training and exchange of experience of special forces, air defense and cyber units, and peacekeeping forces. A key component will also be cooperation between the two countries' intelligence agencies.
The cooperation plan confirms the strong military ties between Armenia and Greece and strengthens the operational capabilities of their armed forces, the Armenian diplomatic mission in Athens noted.
